Sidmouth Folk Festival 2018

Our final concert of our summer season and we were ready to perform our socks off! It was really exciting to be given a performance slot in the sponsors marquee on the Saturday morning to kick off the festival - what a joy to sing there! The entrance where we sang was heaving with people who love the festival and support it, in so many ways. We arrived early and warmed-up outside - which got a lot of attention in itself! Wyvern Barracks July 4th, 5th & 6th 2018

The sun had arrived and summer was here! I mention this, as we were singing outside, under stage lights, on the hottest days of the year, with soldiers in full uniform, playing instruments, whilst on parade! We were all dripping wet, 3 nights on the trot, in what was a totally unique experience! 'Behind the Red Brisk Wall' was the brainchild of the new Commanding Officer, Lt Col Jon Penhale, and was designed to show local residents living around the barracks and the wider local community, what was behind the ‘big red-brick wall' and help build and bridge the gap between the army and civilians.
