Teignmouth Folk Festival: ‘Whether in a space large or small, the choir touches the very heart with their compelling sound, summoning stories and melodies of old, shaped into something new, relatable and truly their own. The Lost Sound show that they are a choir of and for the people, the land, the present and the future."

The choir has now closed. After a particularly difficult end of 2025 and beginning of 2026 due to family end of life situations for Sandra and other choir members, it is time to close the choir and look to new projects and new beginnings.
We have had a remarkable 16 years of singing and community - of harmony and melody. We’ve worked hard and enjoyed both the challenges and the successes.
We want to thank-you all for your wonderful support - for spreading the word about our singing and coming to our concerts, for your enthusiasm and feedback - it helped us enormously to grow into a confident choir.
You’ll see singers are joining other choirs or musical groups, so do say hello if you spot them in the line up!
Sandra is currently running singing workshops and courses and also coaching other choirs in the techniques that made The Lost Sound so wonderful . She is also mentoring other choir leaders to ensure that choirs of the future continue to develop
